International Women’s Day 2026 celebration by SAFE Girls Project- RDC Nepal - with Theme“Give to Gain”.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a series of interactive sessions and meaningful discussions were successfully conducted throughout the month of March with adolescent girls in schools across eight Palikas—Gaur, Rajpur, Paroha, Yamunamai, and Dewahigonahi in Rautahat District, as well as Basbariya, Haripurwa, and Kaudena in Sarlahi District.
These sessions were facilitated with the active support and presence of Gender Focal Persons from respective Palikas, CSE teachers, mentors, and peer educators—ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for learning and open dialogue.

During the sessions, adolescent girls:
● Explored the significance of International Women’s Day, along with women’s rights and gender equality
● Engaged in discussions on access to justice and the importance of speaking up against violence
● Learned about digital safety and ways to prevent online harassment
● Reflected on the challenges and rights of adolescent girls with disabilities

These engagements created a valuable platform for adolescent girls to raise their voices, build confidence, and make informed decisions about their lives.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all Palikas, schools, teachers, and partners for their continued support and collaboration. Special thanks to KOICA, UNFPA, and GNI Nepal for their invaluable support. 🙏
