Successful Completion of the CSE Champion Teachers’ Review Meeting and TF-GBV Orientation

Under the SAFE Girls Project, a productive CSE Champion Teachers’ Review Meeting and Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TF-GBV) orientation was successfully conducted, bringing together committed educators from Gaur, Rajpur Paroha, Yamunamai, Dewahi Gonahi, Basbariya, Haripurwa, and Kaudena Palikas of Rautahat and Sarlahi districts.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Saugat Thapa, MEAL Officer, RDC Nepal, who guided participants through reflective discussions and interactive learning exercises. The review meeting provided a valuable platform for CSE Champion Teachers to share their experiences from the field, reflect on progress, and learn from one another.

Key areas of discussion included:

Reviewing the implementation of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) activities in schools and communities

Identifying challenges faced during implementation and collectively exploring practical and context-specific solutions

Following the review session, an orientation on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TF-GBV) was conducted to strengthen teachers’ understanding of online risks and digital safety. The session emphasized the growing importance of addressing online harassment, abuse, and exploitation, and highlighted the role of teachers in helping adolescents and young people navigate digital spaces safely, responsibly, and confidently.

The meeting was marked by high energy and active participation, reflecting the strong commitment of CSE Champion Teachers. Participants expressed their motivation to integrate TF-GBV awareness into ongoing CSE activities at both school and community levels, ensuring that adolescents are better equipped to protect themselves in both offline and online environments.

We appreciate the dedication of all participating teachers and partners whose efforts continue to strengthen safe, inclusive, and empowering learning spaces for adolescents and young people.
