Strengthening Community Resilience in Rautahat and Sarlahi through Start Ready Activation

As part of the Start Ready readiness phase funded by the Start Network and Start Fund Nepal, World Vision International Nepal, in partnership with Rural Development Centre Nepal, is strengthening community resilience in Rautahat District and Sarlahi District.

Through basic first aid and community-based search and rescue training, Community Disaster Management Committee (CDMC) members and local task groups are being capacitated as first responders in highly vulnerable communities. The sessions included hands-on CPR demonstrations, safety drills, and essential life-saving skills to improve emergency preparedness and rapid response capacity.

ЁЯУН Rautahat (Madhav Narayan & Gadhimai Municipality): 113 participants (75 male, 38 female)
ЁЯУН Sarlahi (Dhankaul & Basbariya Rural Municipality): 37 participants (20 male, 11 female)

This initiative directly contributes to building safer, prepared, and resilient communities under the Start Network activation, reaffirming commitment to disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, and community empowerment.
