“Beginning for the better”- Ultra-Poor Graduation of Rights Holder from Integrated Approach
SITUATION: Pawan, 8 Years old who is our RC and completely disabled i.e., a permanent resident of Madhav Narayan Municipality-07. His family consist of 5 members including his father 38 years, mother 35 years, his brother 11 years & his sister 7 years old, lives together in a small house made up of mud & he has 5 dhur of land.
Before intervention of WVIN & RDC Nepal his family was having burden to manage his family expenses. And in the education and writing of his brother, sister & he himself, there was a lot of difficulties in providing clothes, paper, pen or food & medicine. Earlier his father used to work on daily wages as a labour. He told me that his mother hasn’t any idea & even any experience to work outside at that time. His family was facing crisis to manage daily family's expenses.
INTERVENTION: His family has received the following support from WVIN and RDC Nepal Grocery items. After the 2nd phase of COVID-19, CP CESP came to implement in the field. In 2024, NRL TP came to implement in this ward. Somehow, he & his family became a member of the RDC Nepal & WVI Nepal as a RC & RC Family and be a part of NRL TP CP CESP, then his mother participates in SYIB training and got supported with Grocery Store to do the business. He said During the COVID-19, his family’s per day income was very low only if his father found any labor work nearby. Otherwise, his family don’t have any source of income. His father & mother even slept empty stomach for several days.
AFTER: Getting the support from RDC Nepal, my family got from the project, my mother earned around Rs. 8000-10000 per month from the Grocery Store by herself & my father work outside for earning. And even right now me my brother & sister went to school daily and not get any difficulty for the studies because all the expenses were cope up from that shop which she got supported. Even his mother saves RS 100 per day in the piggy bank from the grocery shop earning.
During fair, my mother even earned Rs. 1000 from the grocery shop in a single day. I make profit of Rs. 8000-10000 every month and used that money to buy the extra items for the expansion of the business & family.

His family's livelihood condition. His family has a plan to improve the Grocery Store. His mother will invest the earnings from the grocery store in his family's well-being and his family's livelihood & Lifestyle and also to that grocery store. Right now, his mother works in that grocery store & his father went to work outside for the betterment of his family.
